What is address verification of the publisher by Google AdSense?
To protect the security of publisher, Google requires webmaster to verify their address before Google can send them payment checks. To do so, Google will mail a Personal Identification Number (PIN) to their payment address. Publisher will then need to enter this PIN within their Google account.
When will PIN arrive to their address?
Google will print and send the PIN to the publisher’s address by standard mail several days after their account balance reaches the verification threshold (10 Dollars) for the first time. PINs typically will arrive within 2-4 weeks, but it may take longer depending on the publisher’s location.
How does the PIN mailer look like?
Google will mail the PIN on a white postcard measuring 4.5 x 6 inch (11.4 x 15.2 cm). It looks like below image.
When does Publisher need to enter their PIN?
The publisher will have 6 months from the date their first PIN is generated to enter it in their accounts. If they haven't entered it in their accounts after 4 months, Google will stop to display ads on the publisher’s websites.
What if the PIN doesn't arrive in time to the publisher’s location?
Google understand that the PIN can fail to reach the publisher’ address. That's why publishers can request 2 additional replacement PINs if they don't receive their first PIN within proper time.
Can the publisher send Google a copy of their official identity document or domestic bill?
Yes. If the publishers have requested their maximum of 3 PINs and they have not received any of them within 4 weeks of their last PIN request. In that case, publisher will see a notice on their account page with further instructions on how to send Google an official document (It can be Driving License, Passport, Electricity Bills or any Government Document where publisher address is clearly written with their Name) proving their address through a contact us form.
